医王山光福寺 (Iouzan Kofuku temple)

綾戸國中神社から歩いて20分のところに医王山光福寺があります。

■光福寺（こうふくじ）
西山浄土宗
本尊は蔵王権現(Zao gongen)
開基は浄蔵貴所(Jyozo kisyo)

浄蔵貴所（887～946）は比叡山の呪術僧。法観寺の五重塔（八坂の塔）西に傾いた時、貴所の加持（神仏の加護で災いを払うこと）により、元に戻ったという伝承があります。祇園祭では山のひとつである山伏山のご神体です。

蔵王権現は、日本独自の山嶽仏教である修験道の本尊。

A 20-minute walk from Ayatokunaka shrine is Iouzan Kofuku temple.

The principal is the Zao gongen.
The founder is the Jyozo kisyo.

Jyozo kisyo (887-946) is a magic priest of Hieizan. When you lean west of the five-storied pagoda of Hokanji (the tower of Yasaka), there is a tradition that it was restored to its original state(paying for it with the help of the gods and buds) of your place. It is a sacred body of Mt. Yamabushi which is one of the mountains at Gion Festival.

Zao Gongen is a principal of Shugendo, a unique mountain Buddhism in Japan.

樹齢200年のクスノキの根元のコブに圧倒され、幹に手を添えパワーを頂きました。

光福寺ではお祈りする順番があるようで
弁天堂 → 薬師堂 → 子守勝手社 → 蔵王堂とお参りしました。
蔵王堂はいくつか傷みがみられました。　
お寺なのに何故か鳥居？がありました。

ちょっと一服
光福寺は久世六斎念仏発祥の地とされてます。　
六斎念仏は平安時代に空也上人が民衆に教えを広めようと6斎日（毎月8、14、15、23、29、30日）に街中で鉦や太鼓を打ち鳴らしながら念仏を唱え踊ったことから、六斎念仏と称されました。

のちに風流化して能や歌舞伎などを取り入れ芸能化した六斎念仏もみられるようになりました。

光福寺の六斎念仏は
毎年8月31日に行われます。

We visited Benten-do → Yakushido → Komorikatte sya → Zao-do.
Zaodo has some pain.
It is a temple but why is it Torii? had.

Kofuku-ji Temple is considered to be the birthplace of Kuze Rokusai Nenbutsu.
Rokusai Nenbutsu chanted Nenbutsu while slaping samurai and drums in the city at 6days (every month 8, 14, 15, 23, 29, 30 days) to spread the teachings to the people during the Heian period. Because it danced, it was named Rokusai-nenbutsu.

Later on, Rokusai Nenbutsu, which has been transformed into an art form incorporating Noh and Kabuki, has come to be seen.

Kufuku-ji Rokusai Nenbutsu is
It takes place on August 31 every year.
